Laptop Lounge is the response to a question : What will entertainment be like in the 21st century? Here is a scenario : We will use machines and computers to generate sounds and images manipulated by artists at the controls. We will have performances beamed live into the event space and those that cannot attend will watch remotely from anywhere in the world. We can choose to watch an archive of the event or a ten minute condensed version. This is Laptop Lounge. Everyone involved places more importance on their Art than they do for money. The event is free, beyond monetization or the bounds of Capitalism. All artists, contributors,editors cameramen presenters donate their time and energy to deliver an event which brings together all of their talents. We have evolved to a point where freedom can express itself as selflessness and it can empower those that cooperate in a creative and vibrant community. This consensus and combined altruism is at the dynamic core of Laptop Lounge and we invite you to join us in this quest to raise electronic art and music above the constraints of our societies tired ideologies.
